Should the surf course be unable to take place due to the applicable measures within the framework of the Covid-19 pandemic, you can make up for it at a later date or you will receive a full refund of the course fee from us.
Your 2-to-1 kite course will be planned according to your wishes and skill level. So, you are in the right place if you want to learn kitesurfing together at an optimal kitesurf spot while remaining flexible in your planning. Additionally, as kite buddies who are already experienced and at the same level, you can train towards common goals and push each other forward. A top-trained kitesurf instructor is there just for you and can teach you effectively. Moreover, you will always surf with the latest surf equipment from the kitesurf brands Slingshot and Flysurfer (for kite beginners).
After your kite course, you will have first experience launching, flying and landing the kite safely. Your practical skills will include setting up the kite, flying the kite safely, body dragging between other water sports enthusiasts and starting the water. Additional days are often required to become really safe.
The area is characterized by its standing depth and the flat water surface, as hardly any waves are formed due to the sheltered location. Additionally, the Salzhaff consists of freshwater, which makes learning to kitesurf more pleasant than in saltwater.
We will fully equip you with the appropriate surfing equipment (kite umbrella, board, harness, wetsuit and boots). You simply pack your bathing suit and a large towel.
The training equipment from our material pool is covered by the kitesurfing school. We accept material damage caused by us during training as a gesture of goodwill. If surfing equipment and equipment is lost, the course participant is liable. We recommend that you also cover kitesurfing with your own liability insurance in the future. The VDWS offers the so-called SafetyTool (39€/year), including comprehensive protection for rental equipment worldwide, as well as liability and accident protection.
For this, we offer our wind guarantee: Unused hours on the water can be made up at a new appointment or credited towards your next kite course or kite camp. This way, we promote quick and safe learning, and you can make the most of your water time. By the way, if needed, we use a motorboat to ensure optimal training conditions in any wind direction.
We recommend that you pack a water bottle and a small snack (for example, a bar) for some energy. On-site at the campsite, you can relax after training at the fish stall with the most delicious smoked fish and cool drinks right by the water. You can dine at the beautiful Seaside Pepelow restaurant with a view of the bay, or visit the beach bar (small snacks, coffee, and cocktails) in the San Pepelone holiday village. Super delicious soft ice cream from Ilka Eis is available directly across from the surf school, as well as a small supermarket for daily needs.
